Rim Rock

Rim Rock – wind generation in northern Montana

The Rim Rock wind farm is a 189-megawatt wind farm located in Kevin, Montana. The project was commissioned in late 2013 and provides power to the Montana and the Alberta grid.

Our wind energy projects bring lasting value to our community, well beyond the energy they produce. In Montana, where agriculture and open space dominate the landscape, our wind farms provide meaningful economic and community benefits.

Key Benefits

Increased Property Tax Revenue
Our wind farms contribute significantly to the local tax base. These additional property taxes help counties fund schools, road maintenance, emergency services, and other essential public programs that directly benefit residents.

Landowner Benefits
Through our positive partnerships with local landowners, our projects generate long-term economic benefits, often supplementing traditional farming and ranching operations. This steady revenue helps families maintain their land and invest in their future.

Community Benefits
Wind farm construction and operations bring workers and visitors to the community, which supports local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, hardware stores, and service providers.
